Emma Norton News: Scholarships • Restoring Waters • New Office Address

Know Anyone Studying to go into Full Time Christian Service?

The Emma Norton Designated Fund, set up by Emma Norton in the 1920’s, is offering scholarships to women going into full time Christian service.

Emma Norton specified that the interest from the Designated Fund is to be used each year, half for scholarships, and half to be sent to a National Mission.  Scholarships are available from $1,000 - $5,000 for the fall of 2024.

Whether going to seminary to become a deacon or elder, or other educational programs for Licensed Local Pastors, Deaconesses, Christian Education or Church Administrators, all can apply.  Applications are taken by the MN Methodist Foundation and reviewed by the MN Conference United Women in Faith.  The deadline to apply is July 1, 2024.

Restoring Waters Grand Opening

United Women of Faith showed up for the Grand Opening of Restoring Waters on May 14.

Donations needed

The building is open now. It’s time to make it a home. Emma Norton Services is able to accept in-kind donations and donations of items as well as monetary donations.  Check out the Emma Norton website for more information.

Restoring Waters offers new and unique opportunities for volunteering (gardening, cooking, art, etc.) in St. Paul and ENS family site, Emma’s Place, always has great volunteer opportunities to support ENS families in Maplewood. Please email Mo Mayberry.

Thank you Marion Hansen, Carol Heather, and Becky Coleman for sharing photos of the Grand Opening.

If you have photos from UWFaith related events, please share for future Fresh Connection issues. Include information about the occasion.
